Is it possible to have a 16-minute bike - or 8 minutes subway ride to the downtown area from your Stockholm apartment and still live nearby lakes and recreational areas? Yes, it is, and what more is, that gyms and restaurants are just blocks away.
This apartment was renovated in 2020, although the house is nearly a hundred years old. The apartment is smartly planned and has consistently light materials and oak parquet.
In the bedroom, you will find a double bed (140 cm x 200 cm), a chest of drawers, a clothes rack, and a bedside table.
The open-planned living room/kitchen area has a dining table for four people and a relaxation area with a sofa. The kitchen has a glass hob, oven/microwave, espresso or machine, dishwasher and glass, cookery, and other equipment. The fridge and the freezer are aesthetically hidden right by the kitchen but are not visible in the pictures.
The hotel-like bathroom is fully tiled. There is a lovely and newly renovated laundry room two stairs down. Booking is made in the house app.
You can see the seasons change in the greenery outside your window in this quiet yet central residential area.
In the back yard, there are trees and a big lawn. There is also a social area where you and your friends can have barbecues in the summer.
A high-speed internet connection is included in the rent.
Although the apartment is a real treasure, the surroundings are fantastic. You live in the middle of Sweden's first Garden City, Enskededalen. It is a friendly and safe area with beautiful hundred-year-old houses and well-kept gardens. The neighborhood has many restaurants, some cafes, and two or three gyms.
You live between two metro lines and have a short walk to both Skogskyrkogården metro station and Kärrtorp metro station. The subway takes 8 minutes to the downtown area. It’s in traffic until 2 a.m., and then there are night buses. But why not ride your bike?
You also have lakes and public beaches in the vast Nacka nature preserve. In addition, a short walk away, you find an indoor swimming pool and also a free outdoor swimming pool during the summer. If you are interested in architecture and landscaping, you live just blocks away from a Unesco World Heritage site, The Forrest Cemetery. It’s, despite its function, also a popular place for long walks.
In the wintertime, you can go downhill skiing from nearby Hammarbyhöjden with the downtown area in full view. It’s only two subway stops away. Or you can go ice skating on the lakes.
Well-stocked grocery stores are a short walk away in Kärrtorp and Sandsborg. Avici Arena and The Globe Shopping Mall are three stations/8 minute bike ride away.
There might be a possibility to rent a private parking space on the property, but not necessary as parking is allowed all around the block. M, the Volvo carpool, has cars stationed in the area easily accessible with an app. https://m.co/se/en-US/
