Vaxholm, Stockholm archipelago. Here you live with nature on your doorstep but still have close access to central Stockholm with the commuter boat that takes a little more than an hour. Bus is also available on the island.
The house is located on our plot but is facing from us so you have your own privacy. In your courtyard no one can see you and there are no neighbors at all to the place, only nature, tranquility and simply a very harmonious environment. The views alternate between open landscapes, meadows, forests, and you can see the ships passing towards Finland and the Baltic countries.
The house is built at an angle. In the red part is the bedroom with a "walk in closet" that provides good storage facilities, spacious bathroom and a small office place. All newly renovated in 2020.The plasterd part of the house is new and built in 2021. Inside the entrance there is space for outerwear and a wardrobe for storage. The living area is on the right, light and airy with windows in all directions. The wood-burning stove enhances the cosiness and provides extra warmth. To the left is the kitchen with appliances from Smeg, the fridge / freezer is larger with dimensions 70/70, the stove is powered by gas. There is also a separate pantry for storing dry goods.
Rindö is an island in the Stockholm archipelago, located in Vaxholm city. The island is characterized by scenic surroundings with forests, meadows and coastlines, perfect for outdoor activities. For the active there are running tracks, outdoor gym, tennis court and a large modern gym with sauna.
There are ferry connections to Vaxholm and the mainland, making the island easily accessible. The ferry runs day and night and as often as every ten minutes in rush hour. Many people commute with the commuter boat into Stockholm, which takes just over an hour, the boat offers perfect opportunities for working on board.
The community on Rindö is convivial with small-scale buildings, schools and local businesses. Among the companies is our local cheese and ice cream maker, which also has a café business, Waxholm's brewery, and there is both a coffee roastery and Arkipelag chocolate production.
There is a grocery store on the island and three restaurants.
Rindö offers a balance between a tranquil archipelago environment and proximity to the city of Stockholm, making it a popular choice for permanent living.
